Airline Pilots' Security Alliance - Protecting the cockpit

Air Force Historical Research Society - The Air Force Historical Research Agency is the repository for Air Force historical documents. The Agency's collection, begun in Washington, DC, during World War II, moved in 1949 to Maxwell Air Force Base, the site of Air University, to provide research facilities for professional military education students, the faculty, visiting scholars, and the general public. It consists today of over 70,000,000 pages devoted to the history of the service, and represents the world's largest and most valuable organized collection of documents on US military aviation.

Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) - With a membership base of more than 340,000, or half of all pilots in the United States, AOPA is the largest, most influential aviation association in the world. AOPA has achieved its prominent position through effective advocacy, enlightened leadership, technical competence, and hard work. Providing member services that range from representation at the federal, state, and local levels to legal services, advice, and other assistance, AOPA has built a service organization that far exceeds any other in the aviation community.

Allied Pilots Association - As the collective bargaining agent for American Airlines pilots, APA represents over 11,500 members. Founded in 1963, the Association is headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, near Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.

Civil Air Patrol - Led by writer-aviator Gill Robb Wilson, with the support of General Henry "Hap" Arnold, the Civil Air Patrol was created on Dec. 1, 1941--one week before Pearl Harbor. For more than 60 years, CAP has performed three congressionally mandated missions: Aerospace Education, Cadet Programs and Emergency Services. CAP is the civilian Auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force and organized along military lines. There are more than 1,700 units; half of which have both senior members and cadets attached. With more than 53,000 members, 535 light aircraft and an extensive communications capability, the CAP is fully equipped to complete its missions for America.

Experimental Aircraft Association EAA - EAA is a growing and diverse organization of members with a wide range of aviation interests and backgrounds. It was started in 1953 by a group of individuals in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, who were interested in building their own airplanes. Through the decades, the organization expanded its mission to include antiques, classics, warbirds, aerobatic aircraft, ultralights, helicopters and contemporary manufactured aircraft.

FAA  Federal Aviation Administration - The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is the element of the U.S. government with primary responsibility for the safety of civil aviation. The FAA was originally designated the Federal Aviation Agency when established by the Federal Aviation Act of 1958. The present name was adopted in 1967 when the FAA became a component of the Department of Transportation.

IBDA   International Bird Dog Association - The concept for an organization dedicated to the Cessna L-19/O-1 Bird Dog originated with Mr. Phil Philips of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Phil had served as a U.S. Army Aviator in Vietnam and had flown numerous combat missions in the Bird Dog. Once back in the States and beginning a career in the private sector, he thought affectionately about the humble little warbird from Cessna that had served him so well. Unfortunately, he was also frustrated. There was very little printed material about this noteworthy airplane and worse yet there was not a single flyable example anywhere near his hometown that would allow him to borrow a few minutes of "cockpit time" to reacquaint himself with his old mount. He set about to correct both problems.
